Mini Needles (Item#MN10)

Size 10 (1")

These needles are thin and short and perfect for hand sewing miniature bears.

Beading Needles (Item#BN1)

Size 10 (2 1/8") and Size 13 (1 5/16")

For those who prefer a longer needle, these very fine needles are also wonderful for sewing miniatures. The added length makes them well suited for inserting seed bead eyes on tiny bears. You can also use these thin needles to embellish your creations with small beads.

Cotton Darners (Item#CD1)

Size: 2" to 2 ¼"

Everyone should have several of these in their sewing kit. These are all purpose sewing needles, perfect for general hand sewing and closing seams. They can also be used for attaching ears with upholstery thread.

Doll Needles

These needles are a must for a bear-maker. They are used for soft sculpture on the faces and paws of medium sized bears. They can also be used for embroidering noses, mouths and claws. Doll needles are perfect for attaching ears and for inserting eyes on miniature bears.

Larger Doll Needles

These longer needles are easy to grip and are used for soft sculpture and embroidering nose, mouth and claws on larger bears. Wonderful for inserting eyes on small to medium sized bears.

Long Upholstery Needles

Sizes: 6", 8", 10", 12"

Available in regular (Item#UN1) or high quality German (Item#SN)

These long, thick needles are used for inserting the eyes in medium to large bears. Long needles with a large shaft are ideal for making the eye hole and creating a path for the eye floss to flow smoothly through.

Machine Needles

Size: 14 (Item#SMN1)

If you are using a machine to sew your mohair bears, a good quality general purpose machine needle is recommended.
