We are featuring the Brenda Hallaway Hope Pattern. Brenda Passed away from complications of breast cancer at the age of 41. Her Bravery and sharing was an inspiration to us all. We can help to "Keep Hope Alive" by purchasing this pattern in any of three sizes: The original 13", a smaller 7" version, and a 2 1/4" version for the miniature enthusiast. For each Hope Pattern sold, Edinburgh Imports, will donate a portion of the proceeds to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research. Together we can make a difference. Please send us a picture of you and your Hope and we will add it to our "Remembrance pages" section.

Gail Auletta ordered and made two of the Hope Bears for her sisters-in-law for their 54th birthday, November 4. Below is a picture of Francine, on the left holding her bear and Camille on the right holding her bear. Francine and Camille are identical twins, both have breast cancer. Camille's was detected early, she had her breast removed and is fine (additionally surviving cancer of the small intestine)! Francine was unable to come to terms with the possibility she may also have had cancer and did not go to the doctor until 7 months later, she lost her breast, lymph nodes, and underwent alot of chemo. That was approximately 10 years ago, she is now, as of Sunday, November 16th, in a hospital in Willimington, NC, not expected to last through the night as the cancer she has been bravely fighting has consumed her lungs after the past couple of years on various types of chemo. This picture was taken of the girls together on a recent visit with Francine.

These Bears were made to support Karen Miller Butler through her battle against Leukemia. The kits for Hope were donated by Edinburgh Imports.
When Karen is in remission, she works tirelessly, to raise money for the Leukemia Society, as well as supporting other suffers of this illness. She is also a great help to countless up and coming bear artists, always one of the first to help and offer advice via the Teddy Bears Mailing List. This is our chance to help Karen.

Edinburgh Imports has donated patterns and kits for Hope to a few teddy bear artists who will make the bears and sell them in order to raise money for Karen's fund.

These Hope Bears were made by Brenda Hallaway's Mother, Sister, and friend. They plan on carrying their bears at their Olmstead County American Cancer Society's Relay For Life event on July 13 & 14. Their team of 15 people, who have been touched by Cancer in some way, will walk a total of 18 hours. Their team is titled "With Courage & Hope"
